I showed a single piece of work in a group show with the Proseed Collective at 24 Art Gallery, Edinburgh, between Jun 1st and 14th, 2024. The group was made of artists who have work at Palazzo Bembo for the Venice Biennale 2024, and we come together again in Leith, Edinburgh for this show.

Although difficult to represent in a photograph, my contribution was a giclée on canvas with silver leaf gilding, which I made as a response to Nightsong, a piece for solo piccolo composed and performed by Carla Rees.

The work has since been bought by a collector, and it feels significant in that it marks the beginning of a body of work based on responding to musical performances. I think it’s a strand of work that will go places; this post may well represent the start of something much larger…
